So summer came and went without one blog posting. I guess we were just having too much fun! I think this one was our busiest summer so far, and I only see things getting busier from here on out.
The kids spent many of our hot hot days in the cool of the backyard pool or at the park district's splashpark. The other parts of the summer were filled with:
*The end of the teeball season
*Summer daycamp for Kiegan and Liam
*A visit from Auntie Meg and Emma which included a visit to Pirates Cove kiddie amusement park, 2 trips to the zoo, just hanging out, and having a family barbeque
*Our annual trip north to Door County, WI for a week filled with the beach, the pool, petting farms, the art place, and many trips to our favorite ice cream place, Wilson's
*Kiegan's birthday outing to American Girl
*More summer camp for Liam
*An end of summer trip to Fair Oaks Farm in Indiana http://fofarms.com/ This is a real working dairy farm about an hour from our house that was a HUGE hit with both the kids and grownups. Here we were able to see how the cows live, the process of milking all the cows, cheesemaking and the birth of a baby calf.
